My name is Chiao-Feng Shen, I am a graduate student of Tainan National University of Arts in Taiwan. This is my first time to come to USA, I am very excited. Before I came to Mill Creek I stayed at Baltimore Clayworks for about 5 months,I got here in the beinging of April.

    Life here is happy and sad at the same time, it is really cool that I can work with Simon and Mike here, the studio is awesome, and it's also my first time to use kick wheel, at first it's really hard, but now I kind of like itAnd the sad thing is : "HERE IS REALLY REALLY COLD FOR ME!!!"  they told me it's already Spring time, I still feel cold everyday, and keep wearing three layers everyday! 

   For my current body of work, I am combining different textures, colors,glazes, and forms. I am fascinated by the mixture of these elements in my work. 

    Next week will be my second but last firing here, I can't wait to fire all my pots, but it's also means l have many many things need to be done before the firing....
